Historic 1893 Inisfree Barn

Inisfree Historic Barn was built in 1893 with beams that were cut, milled, and hand-hewn on the property. Perfect for larger groups, the Inisfree Barn is made to accommodate every part of your special day. Spend the morning getting ready in our luxury wedding party suites, enjoy a drink at Capone’s Bar during cocktail hour, and dance the night away under the vintage chandeliers and the intimate vignette of fairy lights.

Pond View Pavilion

Just steps away from the Inisfree Historic Barn, this beautiful pavilion seats 200 people comfortably and offers a weatherproof solution for your celebration. With its stunning views of our private pond and elegant design, the pavilion provides peace of mind for your Michigan wedding while sacrificing none of the beauty. The pavilion’s open sides connect guests to our natural surroundings while its solid roof offers protection and comfort throughout your special day.

Butterfly Sanctuary Garden

Follow the boardwalk through the garden gates to find the Butterfly Sanctuary Garden. Mysterious, secret, and absolutely magical, the garden is dappled in shade and surrounded by beautiful willow arbors on every corner.

Peace Garden

The peace garden rests on a subtle hillside overlooking Inisfree Pond. Floating flower beds surround the spacious, open garden, which is adorned with angel statuaries, fountains, kinetic wind sculptures, and other beautiful garden embellishments.

What is the Venue Capacity?

Our historic barn seats up to 180 guests, while our pavilion can accommodate larger celebrations of up to 225. For overnight stays, our luxury bed & breakfast features 10 suites that can host up to 20 guests. Both our Butterfly Garden and Peace Garden offer beautiful ceremony spaces that can seat 220+ guests comfortably.

What is your policy regarding children?

While Inisfree Estate is primarily an adult-oriented venue, we understand that children are often an important part of wedding celebrations. For weddings and events, we simply require that all children under 16 be supervised by an adult at all times.

Are tables and chairs provided?

Yes, all of our wedding packages include 60″ round tables and white padded chairs for both your ceremony and reception. Our destination packages include the additional option of farmhouse tables and chairs. Additional furniture rentals such as cocktail tables, benches, and extra seating options are available upon request.

What staff will be present during my event?

Our venue manager will be on-site throughout your event to ensure everything runs smoothly and assist with venue-related needs. While vendors provide their own staff, we require all weddings to have a professional wedding coordinator present during the event. We’re happy to recommend experienced coordinators familiar with our venue.

What are your catering requirements?

While we don’t provide catering services directly, we maintain a curated list of preferred caterers who are familiar with our venue and meet our high standards. To ensure quality and consistency, all events must use one of our preferred catering partners. Our catering kitchen provides them with the facilities needed to execute your vision perfectly.

What parking is available?

We offer a well-lit, paved parking lot with 70+ spaces, plus additional overflow parking adjacent to the lot. Handicap-accessible parking is available near the venue entrance. For larger events, we’re happy to recommend shuttle services to help coordinate guest transportation.

How does alcohol service work at your venue?

Inisfree Estate handles all alcohol and bar services in-house, with our bartending partner, Naber & Girls Bartending. Their certified professionals ensure proper service throughout your event. No outside alcohol is permitted.

What are your noise restrictions?

Per township ordinance, amplified outdoor music must end at 10:00 PM. After this time, you have two options: continue with reduced volume inside the barn until 11:00 PM (with doors closed), or use our silent disco headphone system until 11:30 PM. Our silent disco system includes 100 headsets with three channels, allowing your celebration to continue while respecting our neighbors.

What technology and equipment do you provide?

We offer high-speed fiber-optic internet throughout the property, perfect for live streaming your ceremony or sharing moments on social media. Our Sonos speaker system covers both indoor and outdoor spaces, and we provide a wireless microphone system for ceremonies and toasts. Smart TVs are available in our B&B common areas and guest suites.
