A Haven of Natural Beauty
Surrounded on one side by marsh, with open field and forest on the other sides, our thirty acres is a safe haven to many birds, deer, honey bees and butterflies. Each morning – a new vista for inspiration. And so many mesmerizing places to sit, reflect and to get in touch with nature.
As we walk the trails or through the vineyard or simply enjoy quiet time in the Peace Garden, we are aware of the natural beauty of Inisfree. As caretakers of this amazing place, we invite you to walk the trails, find your favorite spot where you will find the peace and harmony that Inisfree gives.
Gardens
So many gardens and places to meditate. Whether you choose the Peace Garden, Inisfree Pond, Butterfly Garden, Cottage Garden or Rose Garden, it’s easy to find the peace and quiet of Inisfree.
Vineyard
Last year our vineyard produced Chambourcin Grape Jelly and Juice. Chambourcin grapes are a purple-skinned, French American hybrid grape. They are noted for their distinctive dark coloring and herbaceous aroma.
Pond
One of our natural amenities is the Inisfree Pond. It is one of the most photographable settings for our wedding couples and a place for people to sit and watch the sunset when you stay with us.For guests who want to wet a line, Inisfree Pond is stocked with small mouth bass, blue gill and perch. You will find fishing gear in the fish shack down by the pond. Have fun!
Fern Field
Walk our beautiful 1/2-mile trail though the property, where you will find Fern fields, blackberries, wildlife, a marsh, a sand dune and more.
Fire Pit
Summer or fall, a fire pit is a wonderful setting for enjoying each other’s company. Perfect for s’mores, great conversation, strumming on the guitar or staring at the stars.
Croquet Lawn
A game of the past, what a fun way to frolic and play. Located in the front lawn of Inisfree Historic Barn. We will set the wickets for you.
