Shakespeare Returns to Inisfree Estate Event Venue

The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company will return to Inisfree for one day only on August 11 at 2:00 p.m., with a production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Pigeon Creek is a touring company that visits venues throughout the state, and this will be the company’s third visit to Inisfree Estate. The performance will take place in the Event Barn.

Much Ado About Nothing will be directed by Dennis Henry, a professor of theatre at Ferris State University and former actor with the American Shakespeare Center. This popular Shakespeare comedy follows young lovers Hero and Claudio, who get engaged, but have their wedding disrupted by the jealous and vengeful Don John. Meanwhile, Hero’s cousin Beatrice and Claudio’s friend Benedick have a “merry skirmish of wits” that convinces their friends to trick them into admitting their love for each other. Pigeon Creek’s performance style is lively and audience interactive, engaging both Shakespeare fans and those new to his plays.

Tickets to the Inisfree performance are $25 for adults and $20 for students and seniors. Tickets are available at www.pcshakespeare.com/onstage.
